In reply to Mr J. Lambert’s suggestion that British meat should be supplied to the British forces at least three times a week, the Parliamentary Secretary for War (Mr D. Hacking) said in the House of Commons that it would he desirable, but, apart from the administrative difficulties the extra cost compared with frozen meat from the Dominions would' be at least £IOO,OOO, which was prohibitive as far as the Aimy was concerned.
