THE MOUNT SOMERS CLUB. The Mount Somers Miniature Rifle C'lub held another extra night’s shoot, at the week-end, for the No. 3 trophy, in conjunction with shoots for the Woolmers, W. N. Dunbar 679, J. Gorrie 678, H. Hood 671. With nine completed shoots, leading scores for the Lincoln Hills junior cup are: E. Bland 581, R. Whelham 545, B. Mears 539.
For Mr K. Dunbar’s trophy, the leaders are: R. Whelham and J. King 545, B. Mears 539, J. A. Mears 5.34. With eight completed shoots, leading scores for the W. N. Hood Memorial Cup are: B. Mears 579, J. A. Mears 576, J. King 574.
ASHBURTON v. LYNNFORD. A team from the Ashburton Miniature Rifle Club journeyed to Lynnford on Monday evening to fire a friendly match with the local club, and after a very even contest the Ashburton Club won by two points. The following were the scores:— Ashburton—H. Healy 74, R. Childs 78, L. McNatty 78, W. Sotliam 77, F. Porter 76, F. Smith 76, R. Watson 76, G. Lusk 75, A. Shepherd 77, H. Hickman 75; —total 762. Lynnford —C. Dell 77, E. Bishop 76, A. Lamont 74, J. Bishop 74, N. Bauerle 79, W. Colville 78, L. Dell 76, N. Reid 77, E. Cuckow 75, R. Johnston 74; — total 760.
