COMMUNAL UNREST
DEFIANT MOB OF MOSLEMS. TWELVE HUNDRED ARRESTS. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 8.40 a.m.) BOMBAY, July 22. Communal unrest spread to Hale 1, Kotla, where 500 Moslems attempted to interfere with Hindu worship, but were prevented by the police. Twelve hundred have been arrester!. The mob is still defiant. MOSLEMS AT LAHORE DISPERSE. LAHORE, July 22. After sitting in the same place for 36 hours, the Moslem crowds who were rioting on Saturday dispersed quietly last night, after an appeal by their leaders. 1 An official communique says there are now adequate forces to deal with the situation. Nb serious reactions are reported anywhere outside the city.
