PIGEON SHOOTING.

METHVEN GUN CLUB. i With a heavy coating of snow 1 urider-j foot and bright sunsnine, conditions for the monthly shoot of the Methven Gun club, held at the Mount Harding racecourse on Saturday afternoon, were anything but desirable from a shooter's point of view. The targets were hard to pick up in the glare in the earlier part of the afternoon, and this was responsible for a falling-off in the scores. Later in the afternoon the light dulled off somewhat and this was reflected in the better scores. The best scores were: Six-bird Match with added sweepstake. T. S. Harrison 6, L. C. Anderson 5, W. Anderson 6, A. E. Wilson 4, A. McLeod 4, J. IV Corbitt 4, S. H. Anderson 6, J. McHugh 6, E. F. Ward 5. The sweepstake was divided among those with possibles, who shot off for the trophy, Harrison being the winner, with McHugh runner-up. President's 14-bird Trophy Match, with sweepstake; second shoot.
