The classes will be under the super vision of Mr Charles Hogg, 8.A., rector of the Ashburton High School, from whom all information can be received. ' Ashburton Bridge Tender. The amount of the accepted tender for the Ashburton bridge is £8164 6s. Mr Thomas, of Amberley, the successful tenderer, has duly signed the contract and intends to proceed with the work immediately. He states that he can obtain a sufficient number of piles in Christchurch to commence operations until an adequate supply has been received from Australia. The County Council have wired the Government for authority to remove the old dwell-ing-house on the site of the bridge and will probably receive a reply tomorrow.

Lady (Students at the University.—Dunedin, May 13: At a meeting of the University Council to-day, an application was made to allow a lady student to attend the medical classes.
