HEAVY FINES IMPOSED
BREACHES OF GAMING ACT. (Per Press Association.j GISBO'RNE, May 13. As a sequel to a police raid on April 29, Arthur Owen was fined £IOO on a charge of keeping a common gaming house. In the. Police Court this morning lie pleaded guilty to two charges relating to separate buildings, but the Magistrate decided to treat the matter as one business with two branches. Malcolm John Owen, who pleaded guilty to a charge of assisting his father to conduct a gaming house, was fined £25. Harry Larson, for frequenting a public place for betting, was fined £25. Frederick L. Kenny, who was charged with assisting Omen, was fined £25.
