MASTER ROY WINS ENFIELD. OAMARU, May 11. From a racing point, of view the Oamaru Trotting Club's meeting today was one of the most successful yet held, and there was an excellent attendance of the public from Canterbury and Otago. The track was not exceptionally fast, but it provided ideal going, and the winners were compelled to improve on the times they were assessed to do. The attendance was not so good as on the corresponding day last year, when Harold Logan and Walla Walla attracted a big crowd, and the totalisator investments' showed a drop from £14,448 to £11,771. He was acquired on behalf of the Maharajah Madan Singh, who is a patron of Hewitt's stable in Bombay, and recently purchased Count Ito, winner of the V.R.C. Newmarket Handicap.
