TRAGEDY ENDS TRIP
DROWNIP IN SINKING OF BOAT. COMPANION SWIMS FOUR MILES. ON WAY ROUND THE WORLD. (United Press Association—(Received This Day, .11-25 a.m.) CALCUTTA, April 29. Tragedy ended the adventures of Ernest Gruenfeld and W. Temmel when' a -small boat in which they intended to sail round the world sank duping a storm in the Bay of Bengal. Tenimel was drowned. Gruenfeld swam four miles to Sandwipi Island, where he was picked up by a passing steamer. Oruenfeld sailed from Vienna in 1931. Hie now possesses only a shirt and borrowed shorts.
