MONTH IN GAOL.
WALKING TOUR INTERRUPTED. (Per Press Association.! TAURANGA, April 27. At a sitting of the Police Court this morning before Justices of the Peace, Albert Edward Arthur Hamilton, who claimed to be on a walking tour of New Zealand, was charged with being idle and disorderly. Hamilton started his tour from Invercargill and has secured signatures of Mayors, Town Clerks and others en route. He has lectured to school children. Hamilton’s tour has been interrupted, at various points by terms if imprisonment on similar charges. He left here without paying Ins board and was arrested at work on a farm at Bethlehem, four miles ouC He was sentenced to one month 7 s imprisonment and his autograph hook was confiscated.
