TROOPER SHOT DEAD.
FARMER RESISTING ARREST. (United Press Association-Copyright' MONTREAL, April 26. A Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer, Corporal Michael Moriarty, was shot deal at Calgary in attempting to arrest Daniecl Knox, a farmer, who had driven a bailiff off his farm at the point of a gun. Knox, barricaded in the granary, was killed by the police after a twohour battle.
