BOXING.
RAYNOR DEFEATS HAWES (Per Press Association.) , GREYAIOUTH, April 28. In a professional boxing contest Clarrie Raynor (Blenheim), holder, defeated Percy Hawes (Westport), challenger, for the Dominion featherweight title. The holder had half a stone advantage, and showed marked superiority. He piled up points and won by a wide margin at the end ot 15 rounds.
THE RAKAIA CLUB. Mr D. 'Lynch presided at a meeting of the Rakaia Boxing Association on Friday evening. Ryan; doorkeepers, Messrs W. Meagher, R. Taylor and G. Smart; ushers,. Messrs R. Harrison, J. Lawler and R. Douglas.
