(Received This Day,-11.15 a.m.) PARIS, April 28. A, former diplomat, M. Maurice Paleologue, -reveals in the “Revue des Deux Mondes” that King George in February, 1913; clearly warned Germany that Britain would aid France in' the event of a Franco-German war.
Prince Henry of Prussia (the exKaiser’s brother) early in 1913 discussed with his Majesty, during a visit to Windsor, the possibility of an Austro-Russian war and armed intervention by France and Germany. He asked whether Britain would take action, and his Majesty replied, “Yes, certainly in certain circumstances.,” Prince Henry was astonished and declared that the possibility of an AngloGbrman war was unthinkable.
His Majesty replied: “We are bound bv honour to remain faithful to our ■friends.”
