DEATH OF AN INFANT.
: PASSED AWAY IN ITS SLEEP. Going to her room to lift her infant son for his night feeding at 10.40 o'clock last night, Mrs H. D. Gunn, of 60 Walker Street, Ashburton, made the tragic discovery that the child, aged five months, was dead. Mrs Gunn had placed the child in its cot earlier in the evening and there was nothing to indicate when it died. A post-mortem examination was carried out this morning and an inquest will he held.
