Visitors to the Coogee Aquarium today were horrified when a fourteenfoot shark caught a week ago for exhibition suddenly disgorged a human arm, of a man whereon was tattooed a picture of a boxer, which the police believe will assist in identification. The limb was in a comparatively good state of preservation and bore teeth marks near the shoulder where it had been wrenched from the victim's body. Portions of another shark and bones were ejected at the same time. The shark has refused to eat since being captured. . ~ ..,' s ~, ; ;
SUPPOSED SUICIDE VICTIM. SYDNEY, April 26. The police believe that the arm disgorged by the shark follows the suicide of a man at least eight days ago. A rope two feet long was attached to Jhe wrist. It is presumed the. shark failed to completely swallow the arm, which thus escaped ,the . action of strong digestive 'juices. ; . . .....
