METHVEN TROTS.
SPECIAL MEETING TO-MORROW. EIGHT EVENTS ON PROGRAMME. The Methyen Trotting Club will hold the special meeting allotted to it some time ago on the Mount Harding racecourse to-morrow, and the indications are that there will he an excellent meeting. A largo attendance is assured!, for the club has a very large backing in the Methyen district alone, while its meetings in the past have been attended by representatives from all over Canterbury. The club has arranged an attractive programme. There are eight events, and there have been large acceptances in each one. The first event is timed to start at noon and the last should be started at 4.4.5 o'clock. There should be some good trotting and the club has the track in the best of order. The Ashburton Silver Band will be in attendance. The usual train and catering arrangements have been completed.
