BOXING.
THE ASHBURTON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the match committee of the Ashburton Boxing Association was held on Wednesday evening. It was decided', in view of advice that the Greymouth Association could not send a team to Ashburton next Saturday, to try and arrange match contests for a tournament on Thursday. 'lt is hoped to stage eight contests between local and bhristchurch boys for the opening night. A further meeting next Monday •will finally decide on the date of the tournament.
