KING'S JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS.

SUITABLE BOOKS FOR LIBRARY

The .Board of Governors of the Ashburton High School met this morning, Mr W. T. Lill presiding. There were also present Messrs M. Bruce, H. R. C. McElrea, F. Frampton, John Brown and Dr. G. I. Miller. A credit balance of £lßl 7s 3d was shown in the financial statement, compared with one of £ll3 17s Id last month. The sale of wheat from the school farm had realised £157 los lOd. The application was granted. For the visiting committee, Mr McElrea reported that everything at the school was in good order. Messrs Frampton and E. H. Orr were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing month.
