BRITISH IRON INDUSTRY. (United Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, March 21. The British Government, as from March 26 will increase the import duties on various elementary iron and steel products, in some instances to 50 per cent, of the value of imports. In other cases they will be, higher than the present rate by one-third of their value.
