THE PRESBYTERY.

HOME MISSIONARY AT WAKANUL A meeting of the Ashburton Presbytery was held this morning. There were present—The Moderator (the Eev. D. B. Ashford), the clerk (the Bev. R. Morgan), the Revs. R. S. Watson, and A. D. Kirkland, Messrs E. Hamilton and A. A. C. Lion (Home missionaries), J. L. Mangin, E. E. Oakley, and A. Moore (elders). A resolution of appreciation was handed in by the Rev. R. S. Watson concerning the work of Mr A. G. Davidson, at Wakanui, to be entered in the Presbytery minutes and handed also to him. It was reported. that Mr Webb had been appointed home missionary uc Wakanui, and had started work on March 3. Referring to the Springburn charge the clerk reported that the board of managers had bought a car for missionary work. A letter was received from the Southland Presbytery expressing high appreciation of Mr Lion’s services in its district.
