ADMIRAL GLOSSOP.
ESTATE WORTH £21,205 LEFT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, March 11. Vice-Admiral John Glossop (retired), who died last December, left £21,205. Admiral Glossop was a midshipman on H.M.S. Calliope when it effected its marvellous escape from disaster during n hurricane at Samoa in 1889. His greatest achievement, however, was the sinking, when in command of H.M.A.S. Sydney, of the German cruiser Emden at Cocos Island on November 9, 1914.
