FLOWER SHOW

GOOD DISPLAY AT RUAPUNA. WOMEN’S DIVISION FIXTURE. The lluapuna branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Fanners’ Union held its second animat flower show in the hall. The entries were of a high standard. The judges were Mrs J. D. Murdoch (cooking), Mrs G. Johnstone (needlework) and Mr Millicliamp (flowers). A brief talk on “Flower Gardening” was given by Mi Millichamp. On the motion of the president (Mrs W. J. Allan) a vote of thanks was passed to the j’-Tiges of the various classes.

After supper a birthday cake, made by Airs A. Boyd and iced by Aliss Lucy Boyd, was cut by the president, Airs W. J. Allan and handed round.
