“SUBSIDISING WORK.”
A DEMAND IN BRITAIN. CABINET AND LLOYD GEORGE PLAN. /United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 10. “The Observer,” welcoming the fact that a Cabinet committee will examine Mr D. Lloyd George’s proposals, expresses the hopes that Ministers realise that if they do not adopt a considerable number of schemes they will greatly make worse their own standing in public opinion, which definitely favours subsidising work instead of idleness.
