MAJESTIC THEATRE. Re-titled “Where Sinners Meet,” A. A. Milne’s celebrated stage play, “The Dover Road,” filmed by RKO-Radio, concludes at the Majestic Theatre tonight. It co-stars Diana Wynyard and Clive Brook, of “Cavalcade” fame, and features Billie Burke. As a play, “Dover Road” was a sparkling fantasy of humour, mystery and romance, and dealt with the amazing adventures of a Mr Latimer (Clive Brook), a man who wa9 so disappointed in love that he devoted 1 his fortune, life and home, to straightening out the romantio tangles of other unfortunate victims of Cupid. “They took the Dover Road,” is a British saying, meaning that one man’s wife eloped . with another woman’s husband, or a love affair. and flight that is not just according to conventions. 1 His trouble begins when, after neatly breaking off the elopement of two couples, the women involved switch their affections to him.
