(From Our Own Correspondents.) RAKAIA. Mrs Henderson presided owr a small attendance at a meeting of the Rakaia sub-branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs Henderson reported having sent £.5 to the Ashburton branch in aid of the Daffodil Day appeal fund, and her iaction was approved. The resignation of Mrs It, Croy, -who has left the district to reside in Christchurch, was received with regret. Mrs Henderson reported on the recent county conference held in Ashburton. Nurse Wall had had her leave extended on account of her continued ill-health. It was de-. cided to' forward a letter expressing sympathy with Nurse Wall in her indisposition. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Rakaia Ledge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was held on Monday evening. Sister S. Behrnes, V.G., presided over a. fair attendance. Arrangements wef-e made for a. Manchester Unity parade at St. Mark's Anglican Church on Sunday, December 2.-
