NAVAL PROBLEMS.
PRELIMINARY CONVERSATIONS, JAPAN AND UNITED KINGDOM. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) • LONDON, October 26. Another meeting in connection with the preliminary discussion on naval affairs took place between representatives of the Japanese and United Kingdam Governments, when the Japanese furnished further information in elucidation of a number of points in their proposals. It is understood that these conversations will be continued on informal lines, and that the Japanese proposals have been made orally and are not embodied in any single document. Certain technical matters which have emerged were referred to a sub-committee of naval experts of both parties to the conversations. The conversations between the United States and British representatives will probably be resumed on Monday or Tuesday. The other parties to the Washington Treaty are being kept informed of the progress of these bilateral conversations.—British Official Wireless. ... .... .„., ~.,..,
