The Commonwealth Government has *aken up the question of inferior fruit shipments to London, which was the subject of recent complaints, and amendments are being introduced before Christmas to overcome the defects in the existing legislation which precluded Commonwealth intervention, also to enable stricter supervision in methods of inspection and packing.
