MAN THREATENED.
WOMAN PRESENTS A GUN. (Per Press Association). GISBORNE, Alay 81. - Mrs Waki Ngatai was fined £2 at le Aroha for presenting a firearm at her stepfather, William Henry Cooper. Evidence was given that Cooper was cutting manuka on land the ownership of which, was claimed by the accused. She ordered him to stop, inserted a cartridge in a gun that she carried, and held it at the “ready,” telling him to* stop work or she would drop nun where he stood. Tho accused claimed that the gun as a bluff, but the Justices pointed out that if the stepfather had been stubborn she might in the heat of her temper have shot him.
