FOUND NOT GUILTY.
WAGES SHEET ALLEGATION. (Per Press Association). ' GISBORNE, May 31. After hearing evidence by the two accused, Mr Justice Blair directed the jury t.o return a verdict of not guilty in the cases in which RangL Royal and Edward Biddle were charged with falsifying swages sheets for the Ruotoki land development scheme. His Honor held that the defence had given a complete answer to the allegations. The jury added a rider stating that the irregularity that occurred could have been satisfactorily straightened out by the Audit Department and the department in charge of the work without Royal and Biddle having been put to the worry and expense of being brought before the Court.
