ENTERTAINMENTS.

MAJESTIC THEATRE. "Broadway to Hollywood," glittering pageant of the theatre, comes to tho Majestic Theatre to-night and to-mor-row night and at a matinee to-morrow afternoon, bringing a dazzling cavalcade that ranges from Broadway of the "Gay Nineties" to modern Hollywood with an all-star cast which includes Alice Brady, Jackie Cooper, Jimmy Durante, Frank Morgan, Madge Evans, Eddie Quillan, Fay Templeton, May Robsoh and Russell Hardie. The picture is a drama of three generations in the theatre, from the colourful days of the famous Tony Pastor to the modern super-productions of Hollywood, with a theatrical family trouping proudly through a cavalcade of progress in entertainment. The story was written for the . screen by the veteran vaudeville writer, Edgar Allan Woolf, and Willard Mack, who also directed the production. Fay Templeton sings "Rosie Posie," and Barney "Fagan, famous free-wheeling soft shoe dancer, treads the boards. Alice Brady and Frank Morgan cover nearly 60 years of the theatre in dramatic action, from youth to old age.

PAROCHIAL SOCIAL. Owing to the prevalence of sickness in the.parish, there was only a fair attendance at the parochial social held by the St. Stephen's Ladies' Guild in the hall last evening in aid of the hall building fund. A musical programme, arranged by Mrs A. T. Smith, was presented, and competitions were also held. Supper was 'served by the Guild.
