EXTRADITION SOUGHT
NEW ZEALANDER ARRESTED.
CHARGE OF FALSE PRETENCES.

WELLINGTON, May 29
Arrested in London and Melbourne respectively under a warrant issued in Wellington about a year ago, two men alleged to be concerned in the flotation of a Wellington company may be extradited to stand trial oh charges of false pretences.
Ernest* Mabin Gilmour, a New Zealander, "a. company manager, was arrested in London and charged with obtaining at Wellington a sum of £2OO by means of false pretences in respect to representations concerning a company stated to possess the patent rights to a motor-car headlight reflector. Ah Australian, Charles Ernest Vickers, a company ■ promoter, was arrested in Melbourne on a charge of obtaining' £IOOO at Manaia by false pretences in respect to representations concerning the same company. The courts of England and Victoria first must make extradition orders in the case of Gilmour and of Vickers. Applications have already been made_ by the. New Zealand police, and •DetectiveSergeant Jarrold has proceeded to Melbourne to bring Vickers to Wellington in anticipation of an extradition order being made.
