SCRATCHING AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, May 29. Manuiri was scratched for all engagements at 7.50 p.m. on Monday. AUSTRALIAN DISPERSAL SALE, f _____ ' SYDNEY, May 29. Mr A. P. Wade, who is relinquishing the breeding of thoroughbreds, is holding a dispersal sale of horses, including Marconigram and 36 brood mares, next month. Mr Wade owned Colugo and lop Gallant, and for a brief, period had Night which was afterwards sold to New Zealand and sired Night March and Phar Lap.

INVESTIGATION OF OWNERSHIP. SYDNEY, May 29. The stipendiary stewards of the Victoria Park Racing Club are at present investigating the ownership of the gelding Numed Shield, by Rossendale, which, as a yearling, was sold to Mr C. Brown for 320 guineas. Later he was acquired bj Mr J. T. Jamieson for 170 guineas, and later still appeared in the race-book as owned by Mr L. Browning, and trained by W. Gander.

HOME AGAIN. D. Farrell, who accompanied C. Morse to the United States with Pillow Fight and Tea Trader, has returned to Auckland, and is again connected with Morse’s stable at Takanini. Farrell may go back to the United States in September, when Eaglet, Cynthia J??., Phaola, Princess Willonyx, and others owned by Mr D. J. Davis are likely to be taken to their new home.
