BOXING.
O'MALLEY OUTCLASSED. The New Zealander, Jack O'Malley (ex-Australian heavy-Aveight champion), Avas knocked out by "Son Tealey at Orange Stadium (N.'S.W.) recently. O'Malley retired some months ago after being beaten in his first and only fight after his return from Europe, but apparently the lure of the ring Avas too much for him, and before a record croAvd —with Joe Wallis imported as tho referee—he was out* classed by Tealey, who floored _ him three times in the fourth round and put him down for the full count m the fifth.
ANOTHER GERMAN HOPE. The passing of Max Schmeling as a heavy-weight title threat has not meant the end of Germany's hopes of regaining honours in the heavy-weight division, for, after campaigning in America with much success, Walter Neusel is iioav in demand for contests in Europe. Before going to America Neusel beat Larry Gains, the British Empire heavy-weight ..champion,, and recently he gained further kudos by beating King Levinsky in New York, Levinsky being a well-rated American heavy-weight; Neusel has been offered £IOOO to meet the winner of the scheduled Jack Petersen-Len Harvey ,bout, listed to be decided! in London in June.
