NEW ZEALAND NEGOTIATIONS. to the " Guardian.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Minister of Finance (the'.Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates), Avho visited Christchurch on Saturday, stated that it was correct that discussions had taken' place between New, Zealand and Ireland regarding preferences, particularly at Ottawa, and at the World Economic Conference. Since then several communications had passed, but as yet nothing had been finalised. Mr Coates would not venture an opinion as to when the negotiations would be finalised.
