MAJESTIC THEATRE. I .« ' - A cocktail of whoopee parties, loye, hate and disillusion is masterfully mixed for the motion picture public ui “Penthouse,” the chief picture showing at the Majestic Theatre to-night and on Monday night. The picture is a vivid portrayal of modern lue in New York, of life m Mad Manhattan s love nests on the roof-tops, of politica plotting, clandestine romance —a daring revelation of the merry-go-round of life in the world’s wickedest metropolis. ‘ ‘Penthouse’ ’ features Warner Baxter, who gives one of his finest screen portrayals as Durant, the s - cietyi lawyer, and Myrna Loy, one pi the loveliest bits of feminity seen in many a day, for whom stardom is predicted within a very short time. Miss Loy is seen as Gertie Waxted, glamorous night club girl 'who wins the tore of Baxter, and is superb m her interpretation of her exacting role. BMP} Holmes, the son of the stage and screen veteran, Taylor Holmes, is following in his father’s footsteps as a sterling actor of the silver sheet.
