“SOUVENIR HUNTERS”
TWO YOUNG MEM FINED. (Per Press Association). INVERCARGILL, May 25. Humphrey Gladwin Errington. aged 27, and Derek Maxwell Sanderson, aged 20, appeared in the Magistrate s Court for sentence on various theft charges, relating to salt-cellars, a beer tap, a hot-water jug, and cutlery. A plea of guilty was entered. Detective-Sergeant Hewitt described them as a pair of fools, who did not realise the seriousness of their action. They appeared to be souvenir hunters. Accused were fined £5 each.
