CONTESTS AT GISBORNE. GISBORNE, May 25 The boxing season opened to-mghu with two professional Louts of six rounds. Young Griffen (Hawke s Bay) outclassed Johnny McKay (Gisborne) by a superb display of boxing, an Watty Robertson drew with Gus hitzmaunce, Jiotli of Gisborne. ‘ In the principal amateur match Bniy McKay, New Zealand amateur flyweight champion, easily outpointed Douglas Gay (Wairoa).
