ATTACK ON RECORD. INDIANAPOLIS AT ASHBURTON. The committee of the Asiiburton Trotting Club lias made arrangements with Mr G. J. Bai-ton for his horse Indianapolis to make an attempt to lower the Australasian mile record at the Club’s winter meeting on June 9. The Club has offered a cash stake of £IOO together with the Bullock Lade gold cup if the attempt is successful. TRIPLE DISQUALIFICATION.

A jockey, E. Tanwan, was disqualified for 12 months, and so were the horse, Taragoola, and its owner, J. T. Ryan. The case arose out of Taragoola’s unsatisfactory running at the Ipswich races last Wednesday. Tanwan is Queensland’s leading jockey.
