JAPANESE SCANDAL.
FINANCE OFFICIALS ARRESTED.
ALLEGATION OF CORRUPTION. (.United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) TOKIO, May 25. For the last week the newspapers have devoted columns daily to rumours of the possibility of the Cabinet resigning, owing to the arrest of a vice-Min-ister, M. Kurada, and several other high officials of the Finance Ministry, who are accused of corruption in office. The assumption is that the Minister of Finance (Mr K. Takahashi) may resign, assuming responsibility for such scandal of his Ministry, and Mr Takahashi being one of the key men of the Cabinet, the latter would collapse as a result.
