INDIAN BRIDGE DISASTER.
BANK COLLAPSES IN ERECTION,
WORKERS FALL INTO GORGE. SWEPT AWAY IN SWIFT CURRENT (United Press Association—Copyrigui). (Received This Day, 11.40 a.in.) CALCUTTA, May 25. One hundred 'men, including the engineering staff, are feared to have been drowned as the result of a collapse of a bridge at Alcnur, 20 miles from Jammu, in Kashmir. The bridge, a single span Ox 4ou feet orier the Chenab River, is m course of construction. The left em--■'banknient suddenly collapsed, the bridge crashing into a deep gorge, through which the river rushes at a great speed, leaving- little hope of _ rescue. So far 13 bodies have been recovered.
