PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. - : ■■ ■' ■"' ■;■'"•■ -\ •■ - ■ STRONGER MELBOURNE STAFF. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, May (Several promotions and transfers are pending in the Tourist' Department. - ' ■ , '■ In view of the Melbourne Centenary celebrations and the resumption of the Bluff-Melbourne passenger steamer service, the Melbourne office of the Department will be strengthened by the transfer of Mr A. N. Reid, of Auckland,, and Mr A. Stone, of Christchurch. Mr J. Scott, of the Melbourne office, is coming to Inyercargill, where he will be in charge. Mr A. G. Hill, who has been; acting officer-in-charge of the Dunedin office, has gone to Auckland on promotion as seeond-in-charge, replacing Mr G. D. Lishman, who leaves for London, where he will be attached to the High Commissioner's office. Mr J. A. Malcolm, who has been in charge at Inveroargill, is also going to Auckland.
