TERMS TO HITLER.
AUSTRIA INDEPENDENT. i . FASCIST LEADER'S SPEECH. . ■ ' i United Press Association—Copyright). VIENNA, January 29. Prince Starhemberg, leader of the Heimwehr, the Austrian Fascists, addressing Heimwehr commanders, outlined the conditions ort which the conflict between Austria and Germany could bo ended. Prince Starhemberg said:— (1) Hitler must give a written declaration, recognising Austria's sovereign independence. <2) It must be recognised that Fascism in Austria is represented by the Heimwehr, consequently the Nazi Party in Austria is superfluous. (3) Hitler must give a written guarantee never to attempt to place nonAustrian Germans in the leadership of the Heimwehr.
"If Hitler agree to those," he said, "I am prepared to state the form in which Austria could support German foreign policy." The Prince added: "We will back Dr Dollfuss in the Fascist reconstruction of Austria."
