OPENING IN AUGUST LIKELY. (Special to the “Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. “It is anticipated that the Reserve Bank will be in a position to open for business in August,” said the Prime Minister (the lit. Hon. G. W. Forbes) in answer to a question put to him after his return from the south on Saturday night. The. Prime Minister said that the first thing would be that shares would be offered to the public, and the bank could go ahead as soon as it received the share capital it ieql“l do not expect the slightest difficulty in regard to that,” said Mr Forbes, “for already there have been numerous inquiries. I would say that the capital will ho considerably oversubscribed. It is looked upon as a very sound investment anil g iv e no worry at all.”
