VERDICT SET ASIDE.
MOTOR ACCIDENT CASE (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, Sept. 14. The jury's verdict in favour of Richard Park, plaintiff in an action against Joseph Louis Gichard, heard recently in the Supreme Court, ,was set aside today by Mr Justice Blair, and judgment was entered for defendant. Plaintiff was knocked down by defendant's car at Napier in July last year, and the jury awarded £264 7s special and £6OO general damages. After traversing the whole of the. circumstances in relation to the jury[s findings, his Honor said that, in his opinion, it could not be said defendant was any more an effective cause of the accident than plaintiff was.
