MINERS 5 STRIKE
REMAINING UNDERGROUND. SHORT OF FOOD AND WATER. AUSTRIAN NAZIS' ACTION. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 1.35 p.m.) VlENNA,'September 13. Miners at West Styria who struck last Friday, remaining underground, with ventilation and hoists idle, are almost without food and water. Many were compelled to come to the surface, weak and ill. Fifteen hundred miners at Seegraben struck to-day and others at Fohnsdorf. They are without food or water because the owners (the Alpine Company) are adamant, though the Seegraben management gave supplies of food and water.
The strikers are ex-Nazis and members of the Heimvvehr who ceased work owing to the Government dissolving their co-operative insurance scheme.
