DROUGHT CONTINUES
CONDITIONS IN BRITAIN. NO SIGN OF A CHANGE. SEASIDE RESORTS BENEFIT. (United Press Association—Copyright). LONDON, September 11. To-day is the twentieth day without rain in Southern England. There is no sign of any change. There is a prolongation of the holiday season, and seaside resorts are experiencing an unprecedently prosperous September. The London regional wireless programme was interrupted when all the engineers at the Broadcasting Corporation transmitter at Brookman's Park, Hertfordshire, helped to beat a fire, which swept across the Great North Road, holding up traffic and threatening the aerial masts.—British Official Wireless.
