PING-PONG TOURNEY.
BUSHSIDE v. ST. STEPHEN’S. Members of the Bushside Club visited tire St. Stephen’s Literary and Social Club last evening, when a ping-pong match was played, the visitors winning by 26 games (701 points) to 10 games (538 points). The details are as follow, Bushside names being given first:— F. W. Cutler, beat M. Lees 21-12, P. Baker 21-9, O. Bathurst 21-8, A. Protheroe 21-10, S. M. Cassidy 21-9, H. Paterson 21-9. A. J. Wright beat P. Baker 21-37. Bathurst 21-14, Protheroe 21-15, Cassidy 21-16, Paterson 21-10, and lost to Lees 13-21. .1. T. Hooper beat Baker 21-18, Bathurst 21-14, Protheroe 21-8, Cassidy 21-10, Paterson 21-9, and lost to Lees 14-21. A. Ferguson beat Protheroe 21-11. Cassidy 21-19, Paterson 21-16, and lost to Lees 13-21, Baker 19-21, Bathurst 18-21. LI. J. Gundry beat- Bathurst 21-15, Protheroe 21-13, Cassidy 21-19. and lost to Lees 11-21, Baker 17-21, Paterson 18-21. A. Ei Fagan beat Baker 21-8,
Bathurst 21-IG, Protheroe 21-11, Paterson 21-12, and lost to Lees 14-21 and Cassidy 18-21. Mr S. M. Cassidy (president of St. Stephen's Club) congratulated the winners and expressed the hope that the fixture could be made an annual one. Mr F. TV. Cutler returned thanks, after which supper was handed round.
