TURKS AND ANZACS.
PILGRIMAGE PLANNED. (United Press Association—Copyright). LONDON, August 28. The “Daily Express” says that a “Pilgrimage of Chivalry” is being arranged for the spring of 1934, when 500 ex-soldiers of the British and Anzac forces will he entertained by Turkey, the visit including a peaceful reenacting of the landing at Anzac, hut ending in a friendly handshake with the defending Turks, followed by three days’ tour of the Gallipoli graveyards. General Sir lan Hamilton and Admiral Sir Roger Keyes are assisting in the arrangements. A liner has already been chartered. The Foreign Office and the Turkish Embassy are supporting the scheme.
