By crossing the Atlantic from Farther Point, in the St. Lawrence River, to Cherbourg breakwater in - four days seven hours 32 minutes, at an averagespeed of 24.93 knots, the Canadian Pacific liner Empress of Britain set a new record for the Canadian service, beating her own record, put up in 1926, by 26 minutes.—British Official Wireless.
