ENTERTAINMENTS.

MAJESTIC THEATRE "Humanity," the new Fox drama depicting the romance of a young scientist and the girl who loves him, will head the bill of fare at the Majestic Theatre .to-night and to-morrow night. Ralph Morgan, veteran of the stage and screen; Alexander Kirkland, whose name has graced: a great number of successes; Boots Mallory and Irene Ware, two newcomers who are well on their way to stardom, head the cast of the film. The locale of the story involves the contrasting environment of the very poor and the very rich. It moves from the haunts of the wealthy with their attendant glamour, to the places where the poor struggle even to maintain life. Through it all runs a romance thatT is said to be one of the most unusual ever portrayed on the screen. Good supporting films are booked .to be shown. CONCERT AT TINWALD. .._„—., * A very successful concert in aid of the Tinwald Presbyterian Church renovation fund was held in the Tinwald Town Hall last evening, when the Rev. W. Marshall presided. The programme, which was arranged by Mrs A. G. McHardy and was greatly appreciated, was as follows: Instrumental Quintets and sextets, Miss J. Crowther, Mrs McHardy, Messrs C. Hellewcll and H. Montgomery and Master T. Staples; vocal solos, Misses Miller and Jamieson, Messrs E. G. Craighead. J. Wright and M. Macmillan; elocutionary items, Misses W. Andrew, and I. Ede'and Master Ray Ede; violin solos, Mr C. Hellewell and Master T. Staples: pianoforte solos, Miss Molly Cnappoll ; pianoforte duets, Misses M. Miller and E. Lowery, Misses P. Clark and J. Crowther, Misses Crowther and Mr E. Johnson. The accompaniments were played by Mrs McHardy and Mr J. Macmillan. Votes of thanks were accorded' the performers and Miss Thelma Stalker and Miss Skcvington for the use of their cars for transport.
