THEFT OF SILVER.
THREE YEARS' IMPRISONMENT. MAN TO COME UP IF CALLED. (Per Press Association). WANGANUI, This Day. At the Supreme Court to-day, Air Justice Ostler sentenced Joseph Hayinan to three years’ imprisonment for the theft, on June 4, of £Bl3 worth of silver, the property of William Toomey, of Auckland. Hugh Glover, on a similar c-harge, was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon. The Judge said that Hyman was the master mind in connection with the theft. Leniency was extended to Glover on account of ill-health.
